We sell and demo Banshee bikes because these are the bikes we ride. These are the bikes that we trust, that get us excited to get out the door and hit the trails. We love them, we stand behind them, and we want to share that experience with you. It’s that simple.
We could go deep on the engineering that’s gone into Banshee’s KS2 suspension linkage. We could examine all the little details that make Banshee frames easy to work on and easy to live with. We could throw charts and graphs and diagrams at you. But at the end of the day, what really matters when you’re choosing a new bike is how it rides. And that’s why we’ve got a stacked lineup of Banshee bikes built up for you to try out.
Here’s a list of what we’ve got on hand, followed by more details for each bike. For more info on demoing bikes, check out this page.
The whole Banshee line (other than hardtails) uses Banshee’s dual link KS2 suspension design. This design gives a little bit of rearward travel, and does a great job of balancing braking and pedaling forces to create efficient bikes that handle rough terrain remarkably well. It also means that the whole Banshee line is compatible with either air or coil shocks. Banshee uses premium 7005 T6 aluminum throughout their bikes for durability without excessive weight. All of the bikes in Banshee’s line are designed with a focus on performance, durability, and ease-of-use.
That means they ride well, last a long time, and are easy to work on. Selfishly, as mechanics, we want more folks to buy Banshees because they make our lives easy when it comes to servicing and maintaining them. Here’s a closer look at the Banshee models we have available to demo. We are your source for frame-only Banshees, or one-off builds with your choice of components, and we’re also happy to help you put together a dream build using the parts that we trust the most.
The Phantom is Banshee’s short travel ripper. It punches so far above what its 115 mm of rear travel would suggest. Brett, our founder, has done his best to find the limits of the Phantom, and continues to reach for it for most rides.
The Phantom is compatible with 120-140 mm forks, and runs a 29” front wheel with either a 29 or 27.5” wheel in the back. There are very few mullet-friendly frames in this travel range, so if you want to build up a mixed-wheel short-travel charger, the Phantom is a great place to start.
If you like being a little underbiked, but still totally prepared, the Phantom might be the bike for you. The Phantom was “downcountry” before downcountry was cool, and it’s still a leader in this class of short travel, high octane bikes.
If you’re looking for a little more travel, with smaller wheels for a snappier ride feel, check out the Spitfire. It’s got 135 mm of rear travel, paired with a 140-160 mm fork and 27.5” wheels. That puts it squarely in the “trail” category. If you like tight trails, jibbing, and generally just playing around on the bike, the Spitfire will be right up your alley.
Like the sound of the Spitfire, but you’re sold on bigger wheels? Well, that’s why the Prime exists. It’s got the same 135 mm of rear travel, combined with 140-160 mm up front, and 29” or 27.5” rear wheels.
This is sort of the “default” bike in Banshee’s lineup. If you ride a little bit of everything, from backcountry epics to bike park days, and want one bike to do it all, the Prime is for you. It goes uphill efficiently, and descends like a hooligan. Build one up light and fast and set some KOMs, or throw mean brakes and burly tires on it and go looking for trouble on gnarly trails.

The Titan is the obvious next step up from the Prime. It bumps up rear travel to 155 mm and plays nicely with 160-180 mm forks. Like the Prime it can be run dual 29” or with mixed wheels.
The Titan is the enduro or all-mountain bike in Banshee’s lineup. Sure, it’s got great pedaling manners, but it’s designed for the gnarlier end of the spectrum. That makes it a great one-bike-quiver here in the PNW. It’s not so big and burly that it’s boring to ride Galbraith with, but it can also hold its own on steeper trails north of the border.
The Rune is Banshee’s freeride bike. Small wheels, big travel, big fun. 27.5” wheels are its default, but you can even run a 26” out back for a mini-mullet attitude. It comes with 160 mm of rear travel, and can run anywhere from 160-180 mm forks.
If your favorite rides involve sessioning big features and dialing in your tricks, you’re the perfect target market for the Rune. Go big, get weird, do it all on the Rune.
The problem with hardtails like the Paradox is that they’re so dang fun that you might find yourself spending less time on your full suspension bikes. The Paradox isn’t a basic hardtail frame meant to fill space in the lineup like some other brands sell. Instead it’s a very considered bike. Banshee has put a lot of effort into tuning its geometry and compliance to create a ride that upends your expectations of how a hardtail can perform.
Run the Paradox with 29” or 27.5” wheels, and a fork with anywhere from 120-150mm of travel. Enjoy the simplicity of a hardtail, and make familiar trails feel new and exciting again.
Demos have a flat rate of $75 per day. This price covers our setup time, and wear and tear on the demos. All demo costs are directly applicable to the price of the frame if you decide to purchase.
Typically most demos are available for two days (pick it up within business hours on the first day, and then drop it off by EOD the next). If you communicate ahead of time, we can be flexible with our demo timing.
Call or email ahead of time to make sure we’ve got the right demo product available for you.
Just bring a state-issued ID and whatever gear you need for the ride. You can ride to the trailhead in about 10 minutes from our door.
